Perdue's downtown showroom renovation announcementJacksonville, FL – Perdue®, a Suddath Company, Northeast Florida’s premier Steelcase dealer, has officially begun renovations to their 13,000 square foot, two-story showroom. As the marketplace leader in office furniture, Perdue is modernizing its showroom in the heart of downtown Jacksonville to give customers a fresh look at the workspace of the future.

Perdue has 100 years of experience designing better workspaces for modern workplaces. The updated showroom will remain in Perdue’s historic location at 5 W. Forsyth Street, built in 1916 when Perdue was established, but will showcase a cutting-edge, technology-enabled workplace. The showroom will give customers the opportunity to see how Perdue creates unique office interiors that help employees be more productive and improve the way organizations inspire, attract and retain top talent.

“We are excited to give the community an opportunity to really experience the workplace of the future. Our designs help businesses make better long-term decisions with data-driven solutions, customer insights and the most advanced digital reporting tools,” Perdue President Vince McCormack said. “All of our solutions are created to enhance employee experience, engagement and wellbeing through a collaborative, technology-focused work environment.”

Slated to open in fall 2020, the showroom will include a dedicated area for new releases from Steelcase, Steelcase partner companies and other leading-edge workplace products. The interactive showroom will feature an ecosystem of different postures, movement and enclosures from open-space options to shielded and enclosed designs.

The showroom will include innovative concepts for reception, cafes, private offices, meeting spaces, and general work areas that support the wellbeing of employees and foster connections at work. The space will integrate high design with modern technology solutions, including:

  • Steelcase Smart + Connected Workplace featuring Live Map, which displays real-time room and space availability
  • Demonstrations of the “workplace of the future” that can be integrated into existing and new floorplans, including better layouts with updated density, geometry and divisions in response to pandemic concerns
  • The latest commercial technology, software platforms and unified communications products from Crestron, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Shure, QSC, Biamp, Philips, LG, PrimeView, ChannelSay Digital Signage, Huddly, among other leading technology manufactures
