High-end Design for a Historic Luxe Member’s Only VIP Suite
The Florida Theatre, established in 1927 and one of Jacksonville’s notable historic landmarks, aimed to commemorate its upcoming centennial anniversary with a new 3,000-square-foot lounge. Previously a vacant space, located on the second floor of the Florida Theatre’s office building, The Remedy Lounge is now a stylish venue, offering a VIP, members-only experience for supporters.
To compliment the lounge’s luxury environment, the project’s goal was to create an elegant, modern furniture landscape that provides guests an unforgettable concert experience. Paired with KBJ Architectural Design and Auld and White Constructors’ build out, Perdue helped cultivate a complete furniture solution for the new space.
As North Florida’s leading workplace furniture design experts, Perdue crafted an exclusive solution, providing the Florida Theatre streamlined space planning, furniture selection + specification, end-to-end project management, and FF&E installation.
“When we set out to design the Florida Theatre’s brand-new VIP lounge, we knew it had to be first class, and that included the furniture,” said Numa Saisselin, president of the Florida Theatre. “We knew there was one place to turn to, and Perdue gave us some samples to look at, and we’ve never looked back. The lounge has been a wild success, and the furniture has been a big part of the reason.”
The design features a fine selection of furnishings, such as Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Avery chairs coated in Designtex Cloud Velvet, Decca Ribbon marble toped coffee tables with brass accents, and Pedrali Inox 4404 bistro tables. The new furniture design compliments the lounge’s upscale aesthetic, pairing well with its 25-foot bar and gold color scale. The Remedy Lounge fits 250 people standing and accommodates 150 people seated at tables.
