Multi-Phased Office Furniture Design for Privacy & Comfort
Focused on employee engagement and wellness, Stellar, an architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) firm, invested in substantial renovations to help revitalize its Jacksonville campus. The remodel reinforces their commitment to fostering a workplace culture that supports individual well-being and success.
With architectural design from Kasper architects + associates, Stellar’s newly renovated campus includes a nutrition hub, fitness and wellness center, technology improvements, and facility upgrades for a modern workspace. Stellar partnered with Perdue to curate adaptive office furniture solutions featuring collaborative and privacy components for enhanced productivity with minimum distractions.
To pair with Stellar’s open floor plan, which was vulnerable to acoustic challenges, Perdue was tasked with procuring a furniture solution that would accommodate employee privacy, noise levels, and collaboration. The firm’s primary challenge was to design a workspace that encourages personnel to spend most of their workday in the office.
As a Northeast Florida leader of office furniture design and premier Jacksonville Steelcase partner, Perdue procured a selection of premium furnishings compatible with Kasper’s wellness-focused design and coordinated contingency planning around logistics complexities. This multi-phased project involved new furniture, technology, and installation of glass modular walls for private offices, conference rooms, and collaborative spaces. The firm expressed a high-level demand for sound-proof architecture when designing its private workspaces.
“Perdue’s industry knowledge and experience was shown from the start. We had a vision of transforming our 1990s, dated office building into a newly refreshed, modern space for our staff members,” said Justin Duff, Project Manager at Stellar. “We were able to express our vision to Perdue and they were able to assist our design team in providing us with exactly what we were after with a clean, modern, open look that will increase our company morale.”
Steelcase Lite Scale glass wall solution provides Stellar a minimalist recessive design that easily integrates with other modular walls like Steelcase V.I.A. This intelligent modular wall, featuring seals on all frames and other potential sound paths, offers the perfect sound masking solution for employees to experience optimum acoustic privacy. V.I.A also made it easy for our sister workplace technology company, Phase Integration, to integrate room scheduling and video conferencing capabilities into the modular infrastructure.
The office furniture design features West Elm Work Willow Lounge chairs, West Elm Work Slope Made to Order guest chairs, plus West Elm Work Brighton Lounge systems that offers an updated take on mid-century design and sleek metal frame construction.
